Eric Barker

Eric Barker has spent the entirety of his career in asset management executive search before joining Jamesbeck and ZRG Partners. With nearly 20 years of experience in executive search and leadership consulting, Eric specializes in partnering with alternative investment firms to build their investment, operating, and distribution teams. He has completed more than 300 executive-level searches and consulting engagements and has extensive experience leading portfolio company searches across the C-suite and Board for organizations spanning Financial Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Insurance, Enterprise Solutions, Software, and Tech-Enabled Services. Most recently, Eric served as a Director in the New York office of Global Sage, where he focused on recruiting senior executives across asset management, wealth management, and family offices. Prior to that, he led the Northeast Executive Search practice at NTT DATA Services and oversaw a large-scale executive hiring initiative for a top-tier investment management firm while serving as a Consultant at Korn Ferry. Eric earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Hofstra University.
A firm believer in staying active outside of work, Eric spends much of his free time coaching his children’s sports teams and spending time with his two sons and daughter. If you can’t find him working, you’ll likely find him planning the family’s next trip—or already on one.
